Sofia, August 25 (BTA) - The shot putter, Ruzhdi Ruzhdi, will mark the start of BulgariaТs participation in the Tokyo Summer Paralympic Games. The defending champion from Rio 2016, competing in the Men's F55 class, will start competing after 13:00 Bulgarian time at the Olympic stadium in Tokyo on August 27. Ruzhdi, 30, is the world record holder in the category, current world and European champion.

The following day, two other Bulgarian athletes, Hristiyan Stoyanov and Fatme Ismail, will begin their Tokyo Paralympics journey.

Stoyanov, a current world champion in the Men's 1500m - T46 category, will compete at 04:28 Bulgarian time. He will try to improve on his previous paralympic performance - seventh place in Rio 2016.

Ismail, 24, will debut at the Paralympics javelin throw - F13 after 05:06 Bulgarian time.

On August 30, Bulgaria's final representative in the Tokyo Paralympics, Milena Todorova, will start at the Mixed 10m Air Rifle Standing SH2 qualifying round at 07:15 Bulgarian time. The final in this category is scheduled for 09:45. On September 1, Todorova will also participate in the Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH2. The qualifiers will begin at 05:30 Bulgarian time and the final will take place at 07:45. MY/KK
