Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh will reveal details about the preparation for the upcoming summer tourist season in Burgas on Sunday, the Ministry of Tourism said in a press release.

The briefing will take place at the municipal administration building in the coastal city following meetings with regulatory bodies along the Black Sea coast.

Borshosh has been invited to witness the arrival of the first flight of the season at Burgas Airport. The airport's concessionaire, Fraport Twin Star Management, announced that the summer season will begin with the arrival of the first tourists on a Ryanair flight from Krakow, Poland. The charter program will start in early May, with the first organized groups arriving from Poland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

Burgas Airport reopened on Monday after runway maintenance that lasted about ten days.

In early February, Minister Borshosh and deputy minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva held two working meetings with representatives from the tourism sector in Burgas. During these meetings, they said early bookings for holidays in Bulgaria for the upcoming summer season were "progressing very well."

The minister noted, "We likely have an increase in this regard between 10% and 20% compared to 2024."
