Continue the Change co-leader and Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria MP Assen Vassilev Wednesday criticized the 2025 draft budget released by the Finance Ministry late on Tuesday evening, calling it "completely outrageous". Speaking to reporters in Parliament, he said that "the draft budget was published at 11 p.m., and by 11 a.m. the next day, they are already making amendments to it". "But these amendments are far from enough," he added. 

Vassilev said that the draft budget includes a projected increase in VAT revenues of more than BGN 6 billion, or nearly 30%, noting that such a goal would be very difficult to achieve.
