In light of the improved conditions for operating civil flights in the Israeli airspace, Bulgaria Air will resume its flights to and from Tel Aviv as of December 26, the national carrier said on Tuesday.
Flights on the regular Bulgaria Air route from Sofia to the capital of Israel and vice versa will operate during the daylight hours - in the morning and afternoon. By the end of the year and in January 2025, flights will take place twice a week - on Mondays and Thursdays, and in February an additional flight will be added on Tuesdays. Further information on the flight schedule and the current travel conditions can be found on the official website of the carrier in the "Destinations" section, Bulgaria Air added.
The national carrier explained that the decision was taken after the situation in the Middle East region was normalized and after a careful risk and safety assessment. Bulgaria Air will continue to monitor the situation and act in accordance with international recommendations and safety measures.
