Deposits of households and non-profit institutions serving households were BGN 85.140 billion (43.5% of GDP) at the end of September 2024, the Bulgarian National Bank reported on Wednesday. They increased by 11.4% compared to the same month of 2023 (12.1% annual growth in August 2024).

Deposits of non-financial corporations were BGN 45.270 billion (23.1% of GDP) at the end of September 2024. Compared to the same month of 2023 they increased by 7% (6.2% annual growth in August 2024).

Deposits of financial corporations increased by 7.3% annually in September 2024 (16.3% annual decline in August 2024). At the end of the month, they were BGN 3.628 billion (1.9% of GDP).

At the end of September 2024, deposits of the non-government sector were BGN 134.038 billion (68.4% of GDP), increasing annually by 9.7% (9.1% annual growth in August 2024).
