site.btaDanube Bridge at Ruse to Be Closed to Traffic for Three Hours at Night October 3-5

Danube Bridge at Ruse will be closed to traffic for three hours at night from October 3 to 5,  the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said. The measure is called for by the need of emergency repairs.

To minimize the disturbance to traffic, the road works will be carried out at night.

During the day and the rest of the night, traffic in the area of the repair will be in a single lane, with a through traffic regime.

The Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge is 1,057 km and in need of major repairs, which are included in the RIA schedule. In late August 2023, a public tender was announced for a major overhaul of the facility.
