"We do not see conditions in the 50th National Assembly for the formation of a pro-European, anti-corruption cabinet, and we confirm that we will be a constructive opposition," the National Council of the Continue the Change (CC) party said in a position posted on Facebook on Sunday.

"Now that GERB have failed to form a cabinet for a seventh time, the responsibility rests with the second largest political force," CC pointed out, referring to the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.

"Continue the Change, together with Democratic Bulgaria, were the only ones who succeeding in forming not one but two Parliament-elected cabinets over the last three years," the position emphasized.

"We will not surprise our voters. We will struggle to regain their confidence by acting consistently and in line with principles," CC Co-chair Kiril Petkov wrote on Facebook later on Sunday.

The CC National Council met on Sunday to discuss the party's performance in the June 7 early parliamentary elections and the strategy for the possible next snap elections.
