The price of natural gas for October 2023 will decrease by nearly 5%, the Chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC), Ivan Ivanov, said at a public meeting on Thursday where the regulator discussed a report on an application by public supplier Bulgarsgaz on September 15, 2023 for the October price of gas for end users and licensed operators for heat production and transmition.

Ivanov has scheduled a closed meeting of the regulator's Energy division for October 1 to approve the October natural gas price.

The regulator-approved price for September is BGN 63.35/MWh), excluding access, transmission, excise and VAT, which was an increase of about 6% from August.
