In 2022, the airports of Varna and Burgas (on the Black Sea coast) handled 3.1 million passengers on 23,700 regular and charter flights of 72 Bulgarian and foreign air carriers to various destinations in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, concessionaire Fraport Twin Star Airport Management said.
