Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov sent greetings for BTA's 127th anniversary on behalf of his Ministry. "I wish you [BTA Director General Kiril Valchev] and the entire responsible and highly motivated journalistic team of the Agency many new professional achievements," he said.

"Today's celebration is a pleasant occasion to express my gratitude for our successful interaction, for the objective and thorough coverage of the problems, processes and achievements of the Bulgarian Army and the Ministry of Defence," he added.

"Strict adherence to the criteria for objective journalism make BTA a benchmark for professionalism and make it an unavoidable factor in the Bulgarian media environment. Today's transformed look of the Agency, which we are witnessing, works for the positive image of Bulgaria and supports the promotion of national causes, Bulgarian culture and journalism," Zapryanov said.
