site.btaNational Libraries of Bulgaria and Armenia Sign Cooperation Memorandum

The national libraries of Bulgaria and Armenia signed a memorandum of cooperation, the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library said here on Thursday.

Krasimira Aleksandrova, Director of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library, and  Anna Chulyan, Director of the National Library of Armenia, signed the document in Yerevan. The libraries will share expertise and information in library science, bibliography, and manuscript collections, and will also encourage the exchange of library professionals.

Aleksandrova presented Chulyan with a watercolour titled 145 Years of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library by artist and illustrator Todor Angeliev.

Aleksandrova is in the Armenian capital to attend an international conference on "Heritage Preservation for a Sustainable Future", which commemorates the National Library of Armenia's 105th anniversary.
