The 14th Sofia Pop and Rock Music Festival will take place on September 18 in support of Bulgarian music and socially significant causes, the organizers announced. Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) is hosting the event on the eve of the capital's holiday.

This year, fourteen new songs are competing for the prizes. Once again, a jury of established authors of music, lyrics and arrangements and representatives of radio stations had "difficulty" in choosing the songs, the festival team said.

The audience song is chosen by the viewers and listeners.

The recital of the association of independent authors, musicians and producers (SNAMP), the non-competitive programme of the fest, will feature Nelly Rangelova, Bogdan Tomov, Rositsa Ganeva, Duet with a Cause, Sprint, and others. The festival is held with the special participation of the group GestiM, which renders content accessible to people with hearing impairments.
