The State Road Safety Agency is marking June 29 - National Road Safety Day, with a festival that aims to draw attention to prevention and the responsibility of every road user. This was announced by the agency's press centre on Saturday.

Visitors will be able to join in nearly 30 different activities, demonstrations, games, quizzes, prizes and memorable experiences completely free of charge.

The event will take place on Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm in front of the Art Gallery.

On the spot, everyone will be able to get advice on the correct and safe transportation of children in a car, how to avoid mistakes on the road and what to look out for. They will be able to take part in open talks and polls, and win various prizes.

BTA is a media partner of the event.

Nearly thirty institutions and organizations, businesses, NGOs, and academic institutions are participating.

Partnership and responsibility - this is the message of the forum, said Malina Krumova, chair of the State Road Safety Agency. Joint efforts in one direction will contribute to improving safety, and the responsibility lies with each one of us as citizens, she added.

For the last six months, the number of road accidents is slightly higher than for the same period in 2023, but the number of deaths and injuries has decreased, Commissioner Maria Boteva, deputy head of Traffic Police told BTA.
