site.btaTrakia University to Cooperate with the World's Oldest Veterinary Schools, VetAgro Sup
The Trakia University in Stara Zagora, southern Bulgaria, posted on its website Monday about signing a memorandum of cooperation with the world's oldest veterinary school, VetAgro Sup in France. The memorandum was signed by Trakia University Rector Dobri Yarkov and Stéphane Vaxelaire, Director of the Office of the General Director of VetAgro Sup.
VetAgro Sup is the successor of the first veterinary school in the world, established in the French city of Lyon in 1762. Subsequently, it merged with an agricultural institute under a common structure.
The two institutions agreed to work on joint research projects, exchange students and faculty, establish networks for sustainable cooperation between the universities, support each other in the preparation of workshops and conferences, and exchange academic and scientific publications, documents and other information.
In October, Trakia the University agreed to cooperate with a number of Mongolian educational institutions.
