The Sofia Philharmonic hosts Pravets Art Nights - the musical nights by the lake in Pravets on Friday and Saturday. The festival is changing its format and name with the ambition to meet the high standards of the hosts, the organizers said.

Pravets Art Nights is the successor of MozArt Festival, supported by Pravets Municipality and organized by the Association Mozart Celebrations - Pravets 04, established 18 years ago by Snezhina Avramova, and the late great opera prima Christina Angelakova. After her death, Professor Borislava Taneva took over the festival organization. Because of her busy schedule prof. Taneva decided to step down as artistic director. The organizers express their warm gratitude for her dedication and wish her every success both creatively and personally.

The trumpet sensation Lucienne Renaudin Vary, who visiting Bulgaria in 2021, will perform in the first concert of the Sofia Philharmonic on July 21. Under the baton of Maestro Nayden Todorov she will perform Joseph Haydn's Trumpet Concerto. The evening programme will be a tribute to the three great Viennese classics and will also include the Overture to Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro and Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. 

Kosovo soprano and student of Christina Angelakova, Besa Llugiqi, and tenor Mihail Mihailov will perform on July 22. Audiences will also hear Handel's "Music of Water" and "Music of Fireworks," presented by the national orchestra.
