Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova closed Wednesday's sitting after two quorum checks showed not enough MPs were in the plenary hall. The next sitting is scheduled for Thursday morning.
Almost immediately after the start of Wednesday's sitting, a quorum check was conducted at the request of Assen Vassilev MP of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria because of his proposal to include an item in the weekly agenda. It turned out that there were not enough MPs present, and a 15-minute break was called.
After the break, Kiselova conducted a second quorum check that showed 110 registered MPs, 11 short of the necessary number for a sitting. The National Assembly Chair then closed the sitting.
