"Religion must be included in the curriculum of public schools and be explained in understandable language to the younger generation that religion does not ask us to be aggressive, teaches that affection and love for man, must be leading," said Chief Mufti Mustafa Hadzhi.

The Chief Mufti addressed a roundtable organized by the Ministry of Education. He stressed the need to teach religious values and virtues to the young generation.

Hadzhi noted that many of the people who radicalize and commit violence in the name of religion have not been educated in religion classes in schools, but often through the internet.

The Chief Mufti argued that including religion in the curriculum would not only help prevent vices such as drug addiction and alcoholism, but would also protect society from attempts to instill foreign and dangerous understandings of religion.
