During a training flight on Tuesday, a PC-12 aircraft with registration 020 from the Vrazhdebna Air Base blew a tire on the main landing gear strut while landing at Sofia Airport at 7:15 p.m. The crew was not injured, and the aircraft sustained no other damage, the Defence Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.

Sofia airport was closed for several minutes. Thanks to the coordinated actions of technical teams from the airbase, Sofia Airport and the Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority, the plane was pulled off the runway, and the airport resumed its operations shortly afterwards.
