Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev told journalists Tuesday that he does not see grounds to call for the resignation of Interior Minister over his actions in the preparation of the October 27 snap parliamentary elections. Glavchev recalled that the Interior Ministry and the State Agency for National Security have prepared reports which have been published on the Government website.
Approached to comment on remarks by President Rumen Radev that the Interior Ministry failed to ensure the fairness of elections, Glavchev said: “Appointments on the caretaker Government were made in dialogue with the President. If he is dissatisfied with the Interior Minister, he can ask for his replacement.”
„Any suspicions should be cleared. However, suspicions arise from what is seen in recordings from video surveillance in voting sections, which are within the charge of politicians,” said Glavchev.
