"We are on the threshold of the seventh early parliamentary elections with a looming low voter turnout, unfortunately", said BSP-United Left MP candidate in Razgrad Filip Popov on Monday.

He noted that this leads to the delegitimization not only of the National Assembly, but of all state institutions as well. "People are distrustful, divided and do not see a future for themselves and their children. In this extremely difficult situation for our country, with a war raging 200 km from our border, with an escalation of tensions in the Middle East and a demographic catastrophe, the BSP and the Left in Bulgaria has shown that it can unite and that it can ignore narrow party and personal interest for the sake of Bulgaria's development," Popov pointed out.

He emphasized that the party's programme offers real measures for the development of Bulgaria and for the protection of the most vulnerable groups in the society. "Bulgaria cannot be a full-fledged and developed European country without a strong left", Popov concluded.
