Caretaker Interior Minister Atanas Ilkov held a protocol meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria, Olesya Ilashchuk, on Thursday, the press centre of the line ministry reported.

The two discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the current situation with Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria, the possibilities for activating operational exchange, including by determining points of direct contact. 

The Ukrainian side expressed deep appreciation for the overall support from Bulgaria.

The two sides shared satisfaction with the very good bilateral relations, including in the field of home affairs, and confirmed their readiness to continue and build on cooperation.
