The second evacuation flight, which a team of the State Aviation Operator carried out from Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, was successfully completed. The government Airbus with Bulgarian citizens on board landed at Sofia Airport on Tuesday.
The first flight on September 30 brought 89 Bulgarian citizens and their family members. Authorities are expected to announce how many Bulgarian citizens were on board Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are 400 Bulgarians in Lebanon, but not all of them have requested evacuation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Bulgarian citizens to suspend all travel to the Lebanese Republic and to leave the country immediately.
