site.btaPresident Radev to Participate in CERN's 70th Anniversary Celebration in Geneva

President Rumen Radev will pay a working visit to Geneva on October 1 at the invitation of European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) Director-General Fabiola Gianotti. Radev will take part in the celebration of CERN’s 70th anniversary, the President's Press Secretariat said here on Monday. 

The event will bring together heads of CERN member countries, associate members of the organization and political leaders from around the world. 

During his visit, the President will meet with Bulgarian scientists who work at CERN. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of Bulgaria's membership in the organization, where some 100 Bulgarian scientists, engineers and technicians are engaged in various CERN projects, the press release said.
