A code orange and yellow alerts have been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms on Sunday. Significant precipitation is expected in Central and Eastern Bulgaria, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said Tuesday. The regions with code orange alerts: Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Dobrich, Kardzhali, Lovech, Pleven, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Sliven, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Shumen and Yambol

Code yellow alerts have been issued for the remaining 10 regions in Western Bulgaria.
