site.btaTechnical Staff Member Suspected of Burglary in Bulgarian Consulate General in Dubai

The suspected perpetrator of an incident at the Bulgarian Consulate General in Dubai has been identified in less than 48 hours, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

Initial findings point to a technical staff member who is believed to have planned and staged the break-in to steal cash.

The Foreign Ministry has duly notified the competent Bulgarian institutions. An investigation ordered by the Ministry is underway.

The Bulgarian Consulate General in Dubai is back to its normal working hours.

On Monday, the Foreign Ministry reported a break-in on the premises of the Consulate General during off-hours.
