Volt, the party which teamed up with Continue the Change three years ago to enable it to run in the elections, said Wednesday that it has decided to leave the CC-DB coalition and is meeting Friday to decide how to run in the October 27 snap general elections. Volt put out a statement for the press about that.

The press release says that it was left out of coalition talks held by the Continue the Change, Yes, Bulgaria! and Democrats for Strong Bulgaria in the recent days and blames its isolation on the latter two.

The party also says in its statemen that they have never claimed electable spots on the lists of candidates nor any state subsidy. "What matters for us are the policies and principles that we stand for, and also to have a real change," says Volt.

Continue the Change put out a statement on the matter in which it thanks Volt - and personally leader Nastimir Ananiev - for the cooperation. "Certain differences in our approaches in this difficult political situation made the Continue the Change Executive Board to decide to discontinue the partnership with Volt for the next parliamentary elections," the statement says.
