site.btaForeign Minister Kondov Attends Informal General Affairs Council in Budapest

Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov will take part in an informal meeting of the General Affairs Council within the Hungarian EU Presidency in Budapest on September 3-4, the Foreign Ministry said. 

The agenda will focus on EU's competitiveness and demographic challenges in Europe. 

At the end of last week Ivan Kondov presented Bulgaria at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers. The agenda of the first meeting of the new political season included the situation in Ukraine, developments in the Middle East and the situation in Venezuela after the presidential elections there.   

The Hungarian presidency of the EU Council started on 1 July.
