Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev conferred with Interior Minister Atanasa Ilkov in connection with the preparations for the October 27 elections, the government information service said. 

The Prime Minister was adamant that it was of paramount importance that the Interior Ministry officials, as before, strictly abide by the law and do not respond to any provocations. Conducting fair and free elections is the top priority of the caretaker cabinet and should be done with complete transparency and equal distance from all political forces. Glavchev recalled that the organization of the vote is the duty of the Central Election Commission and the government assists in the implementation of the logistics.   

Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev sent the same message at a meeting with ministers and regional governors last week. The prime minister called on the executive authorities to act only within their powers, ruling out any interference in the political processes or any interference in the political processes or any manifestation of partisan bias.
