site.btaDeputy Foreign Minister Miteva Meets with Delegation from the German North Rhine-Westphalia's Landtag

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nevyana Miteva held a meeting with a delegation from the Landtag [state parliament] of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Federal Republic of Germany, led by its President Andre Kuper, the Foreign Ministry's press centre said here on Wednesday.

During the meeting, constructive cooperation at bilateral level as well as partnership on key issues on the European agenda and within NATO were discussed. On the Bulgarian side, gratitude was expressed for Germany's consistent support for key foreign policy priorities - accession to the Eurozone, the OECD, as well as the lifting of land border controls within the Schengen area.

The Russian military aggression against Ukraine and efforts to strengthen NATO's defence and deterrence capabilities were also among the topics discussed.
