On August 9, President Rumen Radev tasked the candidate for caretaker prime minister Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva with forming a caretaker government. On Monday, ten days later, she is expected to announce the names of the selected ministers. The President said that the most appropriate date for the new early parliamentary elections is October 20.

Grancharova-Kozhareva said that she would start talks with the current ministers and other experts. In the following days, without the presence of the media, she held meetings with ministers from the current caretaker government.

On Friday, before ringing the bell to end the National Assembly session, Deputy Parliament Chair Yordan Tsonev announced that the next regular session of parliament would begin on September 4 at 9:00, adding that there would probably be an extraordinary sitting on Tuesday - August 20, for the swearing-in of the new caretaker cabinet, if the President issues a decree to that effect.

President Radev will receive Grancharova-Kozhareva in his office at 11 am, his press secretariat said.
