The Socialists want Parliament to catalogue the most important bills before deciding whether to continue working in August or not. "But we are definitely against going in recess from the beginning of August," BSP for Bulgaria floor leader Borislav Gutsanov said in the corridors of Parliament. He was asked by reporters to comment reports that the majority of MPs want to take recess in August.

Gutsanov also said, "It is important for us to adopt a ban on the sale of laughing gas to individuals and then catering establishments are caught selling it, to close them down. They poison our children and we are turning a blind eye and doing nothing. The second bill of importance is about the energy sector. There is a problem with Unit 6 of the Kozloduy N-plant. Experts have said that it could use equipment that was designed for the [abandoned] Belene N-plant project. There is no reason to shelve this matter."
