Over the past 24 hours, the units from Fire Safety and Protection of the Population responded to 186 reports of accidents in the country. A total of 148 fires were extinguished, two citizens were injured, said the General Directorate Fire Safety and Protection of the Population.
There were 27 fires with direct material damage, seven of which were in residential buildings, one in an industrial building, three in auxiliary or temporary buildings, 10 in vehicles, three in forest areas, two in agriculture.
There were 121 fires without material damage, of which 71 in dry grass, forest litter and bushes, two in stubble, 39 in waste and nine others.
A total of 26 rescue operations and relief operations were carried out. For the past 24 hours, 12 false calls have been received.
Fire Safety and Protection of the Population Director Chief Commissioner Alexander Dzhartov said in a BNT interview that the number of fires is decreasing. On Saturday they were 150, and a few days ago twice as many, 350.
