site.btaPresident Radev to Visit Fire-Hit Bolyarovo Municipality

On Saturday, President Rumen Radev will visit Bolyarovo Municipality, Southeastern Bulgaria, which has been affected by fires, the President's Press Secretariat said. Radev will meet with representatives of local government, state institutions and the Bulgarian Red Cross and will visit the fire-ravaged areas of the municipality.

On Friday, the Security Council at the Council of Ministers mapped out measures addressing the nationwide fires. Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said those affected by the fires would receive aid as soon as possible.

Caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov announced plans to have two additional helicopters equipped for firefighting. Some BGN 250,000 will be needed to purchase helibuckets.
