Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria Should Receive Second Cabinet-Forming Mandate after MRF Expels 17 MPs

Following the expulsion of 17 MPs from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) on Thursday, Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) becomes the second biggest group in the 50th National Assembly. Under the Constitution, President Rumen Radev is to hand the second exploratory mandate for the formation of a regular government on the second biggest parliamentary group.

CC-DB has 39 MPs in the 50th National Assembly. The MRF is now the fourth group in Parliament for number of MP seats.

Approached for comment on what CC-DB's plan of action is regarding the mandate, Alexander Simidchiev MP of CC-DB said that they will talk within the group and announce their plan.
