Three former MPs from the party Velichie - Darin Georgiev, Victoria Vassileva and Georgi Kukov, now independent, submitted to Parliament a request for the establishment of an ad hoc committee to investigate the activities of Ivelin Mihaylov, says a report on the National Assembly website on Tuesday.

According to the authors, "all facts and circumstances of evidence of crimes committed in connection with the activities of Ivelin Mihaylov - the ideologist of Velichie and the built in the village of Neofit Rilski, Vetrino Municipality, cultural-historical complex 'Historic Park', including crimes related to money laundering and ties of representatives of local and central government with this complex and its construction" must be investigated.

It is proposed that the committee be composed of 18 members, three from each parliamentary group, to serve for one month. Documents should be analyzed, representatives of institutions, officials and citizens should be heard to contribute to the clarification of the circumstances related to the activities of Ivelin Mihaylov and Historic Park and their involvement with representatives of the local and central authorities, the movers said.

On July 5, six MPs from Velichie submitted applications to leave the parliamentary group. Their names are: Krasimira Katincharova, Juliana Mateeva, Pavlin Petrov, Irena Neginova, Larisa Savova, and Rositsa Kalinova.

Thus, the Velichie Parliamentary Group ceased to exist. According to the National Assembly Rules of Organization and Procedure, a minimum of ten MPs are required to form a parliamentary group shall be 10 people.
