Ten illegal migrants were injured in a car crash near Yambol on Monday evening, the Deputy Director of the regional St.Panteleimon Hospital, Dr Valentin Vulchev, told BTA. Seven of them - Syrians aged between 14 and 20 - were admitted in that hospital, and three were taken by ambulance to the state hospital in Sliven.

One of the migrants' condition requires he be transferred to the neurosurgery ward of the University Hospital in Plovdiv (South Central Bulgaria). Two migrants remain in the Yambol hospital in a stable condition, and the remaining four there have been released already, Dr Vulchev explained.

The police confirmed the car accident, which took place just before 8 pm on Monday between the Petoluchkata crossroad and the village of Zimnitsa.
