Kostadin Angelov was born in Nova Zagora (South Central Bulgaria) on July 7, 1977. Holds Master's degrees in Medicine and Public Finance and in Health Management from Sofia Medical University and in Finance from Sofia's University of National and World Economy. Doctor's degree in surgery (2014), associate professor (2015) and professor (2020). Head of tuition at Surgery Chair of Sofia Medical University (2006-2011).

Worked as emergency room doctor in Sofia (2004-2006) and as surgeon at Surgery Clinic of Sofia's Alexandrovska University Hospital (2006-2013). Executive director of Alexandrovska Hospital (2013-2020). Minister of health (July 2020-May 2021).

Elected to six Parliaments: 45th, 46th, 47th, 48th, 49th and 50th National Assembly (2021-2024).
