site.btaHealth Minister: There Will Be No Delay in Children’s Hospital Construction Because of Public Tenders

There will be no delay in the construction of the future children's hospital because of procurement, Health Minister Galya Kondeva told journalists on Monday. Kondeva and Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev visited the site chosen for the construction of the future national children's hospital to inspect its clearance from existing buildings. “To get out of the scope of public procurement, the future children's hospital must become a national facility, and at this stage we have not taken such action,” Dr. Kondeva said.

The pace of the demolition of the buildings has been accelerated, she added, adding that the remaining activities are according to the plan that has been presented to the Council of Ministers. According to her, the demolition is expected to be completed in three-four months and the deadline for the construction of the hospital is 2028.
