Bulgarian Chief Mufti Mustafa Hadzhi congratulated Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Chairperson Delyan Peevski on the party's performance in the June 9 snap parliamentary and European elections, the MRF press office said here on Friday.

Delyan Peevski stressed that MRF and he personally are committed to solve the problems of Bulgarian Muslims as rightful Bulgarian citizens and expressed his support for the Muslim religion in Bulgaria.

At the meeting, Peevski and Hadzhi discussed the need for a stable political system in the country and the desire of Bulgarian Muslims for a government focused on solving people’s problems.

The Chief Mufti thanked MRF for supporting the opening of a social kitchen at the Chief Mufti's Office, which is already operating. The MRF Chair has handed donations to people on Eid al-Adha there.

At the beginning of the 2024, MRF Honorary Chairperson Ahmed Dogan and Peevski announced an initiative for the creation of a social kitchen at the Chief Mufti's Office, aiming the unification of people, regardless of their religion and ethnicity.
