MP Nikolai Markov of the Velichie party told President Rumen Radev on Wednesday that a programmatic government with clear priorities is the fairest option for Bulgarian voters. The meeting was part of the consultations with the President for the possible formation of a new government after the June 9 snap parliamentary elections.

If it comes to awarding a third exploratory mandate for forming a government, and if the mandate is granted to Velichie, the party will be honoured to propose a programmatic government, Markov said.

He noted: "We are going through a difficult time in history. The decisions which must be made call for utmost responsibility. I see more and more people in Parliament refuse to bear responsibility and shift it to other institutions or among themselves."
