site.btaCC-DB Co-Chair: Government Is Purging Bulgaria's Security Services

Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria co-chair Atanas Atanassov wrote on his Facebook profile on Thursday that the purge in the security services is going on in full force.

Atanassov's post reads: "After the Ministry of Interior and SANS [State Agency for National Security], yesterday [on Wednesday] the caretaker Government dismissed the chair of the SCIS [State Commission on Information Security] and the deputy chair of the SATO [State Agency for Technical Operations] Dimitar Kostov. Both appointed by the Denkov Government. After holding 'fair and transparent' elections, the Glavchev Government has taken full control of the secret services! The question is who is doing it and for whose sake?!"

The caretaker Government made changes to Bulgaria's security services on Wednesday.
