Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, ahead of the start of a conference titled "The European Union: Where to After the European Parliament Elections", Vice President Iliana Iotova said that it is important that Bulgaria gets out of the time vacuum.

Iotova commented on the political situation in the country. She said that "we should wait for the end of the government formation negotiations and see what the conclusions of the negotiating group will be". "[GERB leader Boyko] Borissov promised meetings with party leaders. Perhaps more political parties will be willing to participate," the Vice President said.

On Monday, GERB-UDF, which came first in the snap parliamentary elections on June 9, sent invitations for meetings to the parties and coalitions in the 50th National Assembly.
