With a record low voter turnout of 32%, the people gave a vote of no confidence in their own country. The Bulgarian political system is practically in collapse, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov wrote on Facebook. In his position on the official results of the June 9 vote, Kostadinov added that Bulgaria's national security is already under an extremely serious threat. According to him, the threat comes from the second place of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) in the parliamentary elections.

GERB won the elections, but this is a Pyrrhic victory, Kostadinov wrote. According to him, the Bulgarian Socialist Party and Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) have collapsed too. He also reports the improved result of There Is Such a People. Of Velichie, Kostadinov believes that the main beneficiary of the emergence of the new Euro-Atlantic formation is the MRF, which thanks to it has become a second political force.

For his own party, Kostadinov pointed out that they had lost 62,000 votes compared to the previous elections, because of the creation of new projects. He also says that Vazrazhdane will have 38 people, and that in 14 districts the formation is the second political force, in ten - the third, and in four - the fourth. “We are also the second political force in the vote abroad, and in several countries we are also the first political force. Due to the concentration of Turkish votes in Turkiye and the vote for CC-DB in Sofia, however, in the end we remained fourth. This shows that the capital and the votes from Turkiye together have more weight than of all other Bulgarians,” Kostadinov commented.

“We will have three MEPs, and now we are working on creating our own group in the European Parliament,” Kostadinov said. He added that once many voters have been deceived and disappointed.

At a press conference on June 10, Kostadinov outlined two post-election scenarios - the creation of a government which will postpone the inevitable end of those who participate in it, or new elections in October or November.
