Caretaker Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov met with EU member states Ambassadors to Bulgaria on Tuesday, said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This meeting was initiated by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, Frederick Morris.

Belgium currently holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Kondov briefed ambassadors on the nation's views on significant international policy matters. The conversation mainly focused on Bulgaria's primary goals within the European context. These included eliminating checks at internal land borders, integrating the nation into the eurozone, and the EU enlargement strategy.
