site.btaSt George Hospital in Plovdiv Awarded Diamond Status Certificate for Diagnosis, Treatment of Ischemic Stroke

The Neurology Clinic at the St George Hospital in Plovdiv was awarded the Diamond Status certificate for its excellence in treatment of patients with ischemic stroke. The Diamond Status certificate is among the most prestigious awards at European and global level by the international ANGELS and RES-Q platforms, which are under the auspices of the European Stroke Organization and the World Stroke Organization, the hospital said.

Among the leading criteria are how quickly the CT scan was performed, the time interval from hospital admission to initiation of thrombolysis or thrombectomy, and the additional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed.

Currently, there are three other hospitals in Bulgaria which hold Diamond Status certificates (all in Sofia).
