site.btaCC-DB Would Not Support a Government of GERB-MRF after Elections, Kiril Petkov Says

After the elections Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) will not support a government of GERB and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), CC co-chair Kiril Petkov said at a briefing in Parliament. He pointed out that the alternative is either a normal European Bulgaria or a GERB-MRF government.

Petkov commented that the recordings that were circulated were manipulated. “What we see is a return to the old model of GERB and MRF, a model in which, if left unchecked, all Bulgarians pay,” Petkov said and referred to the cases of the Children's Hospital, the increase in pensions, which became the occasion for Tuesday's extraordinary session of the National Assembly, as well as the requested increase in the price of electricity. “We are collecting signatures and next week we will hold a hearing of the Minister of Energy,” Petkov said in relation to the requested increase in the price of electricity. 

Earlier, Nikolay Denkov said from the parliamentary rostrum in a statement on behalf of CC-DB: "The kompromat about how we seek funding for our campaign conceals the unwillingness of the government to investigate the really important cases."
