"Bulgaria has a majority for change. The only thing we need to do is to show the way this change can happen, " Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) Co-Floor Leader Kiril Petkov said at the opening of CC-DB's election campaign in Sofia in the garden in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre.
Petkov invited those gathered there to ask whether they believe that there is justice in Bulgaria, whether they believe that the services work for the security of Bulgarians and whether the regulators work for the citizens and not for Borissov and Peevski. He referred to opinion polls, according to which more than 80% of Bulgarians do not believe that the services work for them and said that this is what the majority of people believe. Petkov came down from the stage to join party supporters, to whom he said it was time for power to come to the people and to the majority of change.
CC-DB Co-Floor Leader Assen Vassilev pointed out that in order to make change happen, people should not be fooled by one-off actions, but should change the system. "For the last three years we have been living in a new financial system. In the last three years there has been enough money in education and health care," he pointed out. Other systems of power are to be changed, Vassilev added and said that the majority of this change has it, no matter how much GERB says how good it was three years ago. "To win, the only thing we have to do is to help the 80% of Bulgarians understand that the key to changing the system is to go to the polls," he said.
