site.btaCentral Election Commission: Three Initiative Committees for Nominating European Parliament Elections Candidates Registered

The deadline for submitting documents for registering initiative committees both at the Central Election Commission (CEC) and at the constituency election commissions expired on 29 April. Three initiative committees for the nomination of three independent candidates for the election of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from Bulgaria have submitted documents to the CEC and registered for the elections.,CEC Spokesperson Rositsa Mateva said here on Tuesday. 

"The information we received at the constituency election commissions is that there is not a single initiative committee registered for the participation of an independent candidate in the elections to the National Assembly on June 9," Mateva said.

She noted that the elections are 40 days away and preparations are going normally.
