site.bta Defence Minister Tagarev Confers with US Defense Security Cooperation Agency Director Hursch

Defence Minister Todor Tagarev held a meeting here on Monday with the Director of the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency, James Hursch, the Bulgarian Ministry reported. 

The two discussed bilateral cooperation and reviewed the implementation of projects under the US Foreign Military Financing (FMF) Program and the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Currently, more than 80 projects are being implemented in various areas. The meeting also discussed aspects of industrial cooperation with emphasis on opportunities for joint production of ammunition under the project for the acquisition of Stryker combat vehicles for the Bulgarian Land Forces. 

Within the framework of his visit to Bulgaria country, James Hersh, today also held a meeting with Bulgaria's Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov.
