Bulgaria's Ambassador to Nigeria Yanko Yordanov has conferred with Nigerian Minister of State for Health Prof. Tunji Alausa, the Bulgarian Embassy in Nigeria said. Yordanov has also participated in a subsequent news briefing on the plan for vaccine research, development, and local production in Nigeria, which was jointly funded by Bulgaria and the EU delegation in Abuja.

Alausa thanked Bulgaria and the EU delegation for their unwavering support and invaluable assistance in speeding up local vaccine production in Nigeria. The Minister of State noted that the plan outlines an ambitious strategy and provides an opportunity for innovation, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and socio-economic development. He stressed that the Nigerian government was fully committed to the implementation of the objectives set in the document.
